The company has declared on Tuesday that this voluntary recall was prompted by the identification of a flaw in one of its packaging machines. This flaw resulted in the retention of thin strips of film on the cheese slices even after the removal of the wrapper.

The review applies to 16-ounce Kraft Singles American Purified Arranged Cheddar items with a utilization by date between Jan. 10, 2024, and Jan. 27, 2024, as well as three-pound multipacks of Kraft Singles American Purified Arranged Cheddar Item with a utilization by date between Jan. 9, 2024, and Jan. 13, 2024.
